On An Intermediate Baum-Katz Theorem

Abstract

In [A. Gut and U. Stadtmuller, An intermediate Baum-Katz theorem. Statist. Probab. Lett. 81, pp. 1486-1492] some new extensions of the classical Hsu-Robbins-Erdos Theorem was introduced in order to close the gaps between the Baum-Katz Theorem (1965) and the Lanzinger Theorem (1998). In this paper, we will present a corrected version of some contents given therein lie the proof of Theorem 2.1.
