Study on Relation Intensity of Tourism Economy and Scale Grade of Tourist Destination in HuBaoE Urban Agglomeration

Abstract

According to the influence of the scale and the differences of hierarchical structure of tourist destination in various cities on the development situation of tourism, this research maximizes the integration of tourism resources and reduces imbalanced status of urban tourism based on the HuBaoE urban agglomeration. Firstly, this paper gets the statistics of specific development situation of the tourism in HuBaoE urban agglomeration in 2017, and then measures the relation intensity of tourism economy among cities in HuBaoE urban agglomeration by using gravity model. Finally, this paper studies the fractal features of scale grade of tourist destination in HuBaoE urban agglomeration by using fractal theory and methods. The results show that the HuBaoE urban agglomeration has formed a system of scale grade like a pyramid which includes one first tourism central place (Hohhot), two subcenter tourism central places (BaoTou and Ordos) and three-level tourism central places (Ulanqab, Bayan Nur and Wuhai). Their scale grade of tourism is relatively loose and deference degree of tourists distribution is large.
