Phase Center Determination of an Antenna Based on Spherical Near-Field Measurement
Abstract
In high positioning precise applications, phase center calibration is necessary. The paper introduces a method of determining the phase center of an antenna in an anechoic chamber. Based on the practical phase patterns measured by a multi-probe spherical near-field measurement system, the phase center can be obtained by the means of least squares method. In the process of measurement, the impacts of offset of an antenna and the minimum spherical radius setting on the calculated phase center results are also discussed, with some useful suggestions concluded.
