Design Method and Verification of LNA in Receiver
Abstract
Low noise amplifier (LNA) is the main part of the front-end of the communication receiver, and its design level plays a key role in improving the sensitivity of the receiver. Combined with the theoretical analysis of noise figure, three kinds of power gain and stability factor, the factors that should be considered in the design of low noise amplifier are introduced. Based on ADS software, a design method combining minimum noise matching and output impedance matching is proposed. Using this method, the bias circuit, stability circuit, input and output matching circuit of low noise amplifier are designed, and the parameters of matching circuit are verified by simulation tools. The simulation results show that the design can take into account the noise figure and power gain in the operating frequency range, which can provide reference for the engineering design of related systems.
