A Fast Adaptive Motion Estimation Algorithm

Abstract


This paper introduces a fast adaptive motion estimation algorithm. It is a generic algorithm of the family of motion adaptive fast search techniques, and it offers high performance both in quality and speed and does not require memory to store the searched points and motion vectors. The fast motion estimation algorithm is recommends as the core technology for fast motion estimation, since it is a generic solution suitable for all encoding environments.
