Research on Map-matching Algorithm Using Kaman Filter to Improve Localization Accuracy from Baidu Map Based on Android

Abstract


Taking android navigation and position as research background, this paper proposes an approach to improve localization accuracy and get a smooth trajectory without jump points from Baidu Map based on android. Firstly, Kalman filter is used to eliminate the original jump points and make the tractor smooth; secondly, coordinate transform is used to change the GPS points into Baidu map points; thirdly, roadmatching algorithm is used to improve the localization accuracy to street level; finally, LBS service is gained from the optimal result obtained from the above method. The experiment results show that the approach can improve the accuracy, and the stability of LBS service from Baidu Map.
