Design and Implementation of a Model to Train Students to Operate an Intelligent Scalpel
Abstract
In order to effectively enhance the effect of scalpel training, reduce the environmental requirements for training, and change the limited experimental teaching methods, we designed a new model for intelligent scalpel operation training. For this model we created a simulated anatomical work scene that can intelligently recognize scalpel hold and scalpel knife action. The proposed model was able to perceive the scalpel holding angle, force, insertion and extraction, and the direction, speed, and distance of scalpel operation. Through scalpel training plans, the proposed model could complete the whole teaching process, including scalpel training, voice guidance, and evaluating training results. The experiment showed that the model could greatly enhance the effect of scalpel training. Therefore, it is a worthy medical experimental teaching aid.
