Influence of Replacing Business Tax with Value-added Tax on the Development of China’s Tourism Industry

Abstract

With a detailed account of the background and necessity of “business tax for value-added tax†policy, this paper analyzes the influence of replacing business tax with value-added tax on the development of China’s tourism industry, as well as the challenges of this policy to the development of China’s tourism industry. Some suggestions on speeding up the development of China’s tourism industry through replacing business tax with value-added tax are also put forward.
