Courtyard Defense Engineering of Traditional Dwellings in Henan

Abstract

Defense engineering in Henan area is mainly the local fortress, but some areas have not form a fortress, but emphasize courtyard defense. This paper will analyze the composition and characteristics of courtyard defense engineering of Henan traditional dwellings through the on-the-spot investigation, hoping to show the defense engineering of Henan traditional dwellings which is different from fortress system.
