The Development of the Port Industry and the Relationship with Other Industries

Abstract

As a service industry, the port industry, which is an important basis for the marine transportation industry, provides a place for goods or passengers to reach another point from land by ocean. More than 80% of international cargo import and export trade is done through the port industry; it plays an important role on the world market economy. This paper summarizes the port industry from the aspects of world port industry and the development track, development status and development trend of China's port industry. In addition, the scope, current situation and development trend of the related industry of port industry are also sorted out. Enhancing the development of the port industry and making it develop healthily are of great significance to the implementation of international trade and "The Belt and Road".
