Tourism: A Nostalgia Experience based on Time, Space and Meaning Attribution Perspective
Abstract
Under the modernity perspective, tourism phenomenon is embedded tourists’ nostalgia motivation. On the one hand, nostalgia helps tourists to experience time and space liminality, tourists experience sense of being and continuity of self; on the other hand, tourists make the nostalgia as an interpreter for tourism symbolism, built the meaning connection by interacting with the signs of tourism site. By considering the time, space and meaning attribution of nostalgia, the present study discusses a new perspective to study tourism phenomenon, this study will contribute to tourism sociology development and tourism phenomenology research.
