Research on Critical Thinking and Cultivation Strategy of College Students in China

Abstract

Critical thinking is not just a negative thinking, but also a creative and constructive ability. Having critical thinking can provide more alternative explanations of one thing, reflect on the significance of research findings, and use the new knowledge gained to solve social and personal problems. Critical thinking is not only indispensable in daily life, but also the foundation of all science including psychology. This paper probes into the definition of critical thinking, the relevant research on critical thinking at home and abroad, and the education and teaching of critical thinking of college students in China higher education. Thus, some suggestions on the cultivation and development of critical thinking of college students are obtained.
