A Study on the Establishment of a Quantitative System for the Identification of College Needy Students—a Case Study with Hubei University of Automotive Technology
Abstract
Based on an empirical investigation conducted in Hubei University of Automotive Technology in which 300 needy students’ identities are scrutinized, this paper analyzes the current college needy student aid-program, and points out the problems in the affirmation process. It further proposes establishing poverty level indicators and a quantitative system for poverty identification, so as to better standardize and institutionalize poverty identification process and financial aid management.
