The Experience of Classified Management of Higher Education in USA and Its Enlightenment to Private Higher Education in China

Abstract

The United States has the most mature private higher education in the world, whose non-profit and for-profit private universities are well developed.The exploration and practice of its classified management of the two types of private universities in the country are successful experiences. This paper discusses the classified management of the establishment and withdrawal, property rights, tax policies, funding sources, administration and governance models of the two types of private universities and aims to seek some references to our private higher education development.
